Iron County Conservation Sign Up Dates Told Iron County farmers and ranchers ranch-ers have been reminded this week by Norman Grlmshaw, Chairman of the Iron County Committee of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation (ASC), that the program officially official-ly opened January 1. The first deadline date for conservation practices under the 1957 program is February 5. Sign up for work to be performed during dur-ing the month of February must be made prior to February 5, Mr. Grlmshaw pointed out. He also reminded farmers and ranchers who sign up at this time that the expiration date or date of reporting report-ing of performances for the first four months, Februray, March. April and May, has been set for June 1st , Deadline for the two months June and July are also prior to the 5th of each of those months and expiration dates for the period per-iod is August 1. August and September expiration expira-tion date is October 1, and expiration ex-piration date for October through December is December 30. Farmers and ranchers have been encouraged, however, not to sign up for ACP assistance unless un-less they are certain that the practles anticipated will be done, or not until 30 days prior to the time desired to start work under un-der the program.
