Show Community Activity Calendar Committee Formed An attempt to alleviate conflicts con-flicts of activities in this community com-munity will be made Monday night of next week when heads of all organizations in Parowan are requested to meet with the new coordinating council, according accord-ing to Mrs. Clair Hulet. chairman. chair-man. The meeting will be held In the courtroom of the Iron County courthouse at 8 p. m. where the community calendar for the coming months will be set up. The need fir this sort of an organization h.-s long been apparent ap-parent Many residents who have had anything to do with sched uling events have expressed a desire for such an arrangement. All that remained was for the machinery to be set up with personnel per-sonnel who were willing to operate op-erate It The latter was taken care of by the Chamber of Commerce when it named Mrs Hulet as coordinating co-ordinating council chairman, and she in turn named her committee. com-mittee. These committeemen represent rep-resent the various groups in the city and Include Mrs Max Hen-drickson, Hen-drickson, schools; A Hills Or ton, church; and Clinton Thornton, civic organizations. The wholehearted cooperation of the community is now the only remaining factor to be secured se-cured In making the project sue. cessful, committee members say. They appeal for this both in the meeting Monday night and In the future adherence to the program pro-gram as It Is scheduled. They ask that a representative of any school or church group or civic organization which tarries tar-ries on any sort of activity uat Involves a number of persons be at the meeting Monday. The activity ac-tivity calendar for the coming four months will be set up as nearly as possible at that time. The reed to schedule all other oth-er events which might arise and all necessary changes through the committee Is stressed. The calendar for each week will be published in the local paper and residents are asked to take note of the schedules and abide by them. |
