Honors are Bestowed On Gordon Sargent AF ROTC Colonel Gordon S. Sargent received the Air Force Association Silver Medal Award at Logan last week. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Ned Sargent, Cedar City. The award Is made each year to the outstanding advanced AF ROTC cadet who has completed his Junior year of college and has attended the annual summer AF ROTC camp training. In the AF ROTC program, Sar-gent Sar-gent is a group commander and is assigned duty to the wing staff and in charge of one drill group. He received an outstanding outstand-ing report for his work at summer sum-mer camp this past year At U S A C, Gordon has an overall grade point average of over 2.5. Among his many extracurricular extra-curricular activities, he is best known for his regular membership member-ship on the U S A C baseball team. A student of biological science, sci-ence, Gordon graduated from the College of Southern Utah in 1955 with an associate In scl- U S A C to continue his studies. He was prominent In baseball and track during his two years at C S U.
