Show Last Rites Accorded Catherine E. Perkins Mackelprang Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed la the Fifth Ward chapel on Wednesday afternoon for Catherine Cather-ine (Kate) E. Perkins Mackelprang, Mackel-prang, 91, who died at her home Saturday, June 7, of causes incident in-cident to age. The services were conducted by Bishop Homer Jones, with talks given by H. H. Lunt and Samuel F. Leigh. The musical program Included a vocal duet, "There Is a Land," by Mamie Eck and Lois McCon-nell, McCon-nell, accompanied by Beth Leigh, and two vocal solos, "Sometime We'll Understand,M and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again." Prelude and postlude music was by Mr. Hartman. Invocation was by George Grimshaw, benediction bene-diction by Wm. B. Adams, and the dedicatory prayer by Bishop Jones. Prayer at the mortuary before be-fore the services was by E. B. Dalley. Mrs. Mackelprang was born in Salt Lake City on Sept 18, 1864, a daughter of Thomas and Margaret Mar-garet Evans Perkins. She married Peter Mackelprang in the St. George Temple on April 7, 1886. She is survived by five daughters daugh-ters and three sons, Minnie Michael, Mi-chael, Margaret Jane Dalton, Eunice Lang and Lavern Lousey, all of California; Mrs. Roxle Stephens, Ste-phens, Del Roy, Warren and Max Mackelprang, all of Cedar City. Also surviving are two. half sisters, sis-ters, Henrietta Leigh and Margaret Mar-garet Dalley, Cedar City, and a half brother, David Pryor, Salt Lake City. |
