Show Local Fishing Waters Stocked for Season With the opening of the 1956 fishing season set for Saturday at 5 a. m., local fishing waters have been very well stocked ln, preparation for the opening, says S. The Yankee j contains more water than at any time since 1953. being filled very close to capacity. This body of water was planted with fish late last fall and this spring three loads of legal size fish have been planted there. Paragonah Reservoir where the water storage is very low because be-cause of practically no run-off, also received a planting of two loads of legal size fish for the opening. These fish run about 4 or 5 to the pound, and each load contained about 350 pounds of fish, Clark stated. |
