Show KANARRAVIUE NEWS By Hannah Davis Memorial Day was observed' here as many gathered to pay tribute to the memory of departed depart-ed family members and friends. Graves were decorated with a profusion of beautiful flowers. Many out-of-town relatives were present to show honor to their dead. Two babies were christened here Sunday. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Munford was given the name of Sharllnda Ann and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rowan Williams was given the name Fern- Ann. Mrs. Lois Williams and children chil-dren have returned to their home In Las Vegas after a week's visit vis-it here with relatives. Miss Janice Williams, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Williams, Wil-liams, has has employment at Grand Canyon. David Williams, son of Ethna Ford, has employment in California. Cali-fornia. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Reeves received re-ceived word that their son Larry was stationed at San Dleda, Cal. I with the Marines. Several of our townspeople attended at-tended the funeral at Hurricane Saturday for Howard Fish. Mrs. Helen Simklns and daughter daugh-ter of Cedar City are here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Davis. Uncle Sam Pollock enjoyed a visit from several of his child-'i child-'i ren this week. Mr. and Mrs. Blainj j Pollock and daughters of Tooele, l Mrs. Dora Myers of Salt Lake : i City and Mr. and Mrs. Morrell ;Bayles and children of Parowan were here for Memorial Day. Mr. ' ! and Mrs. Pollock visited at Grand ( Canyon while Mrs. Myers visited " here with her father before re-' re-' turning to their home.. Mr. Pol-'.lock Pol-'.lock has two of his daughters '.here with him, Mrs. Edith Sor-lenson Sor-lenson of Ventura, Calif., and Mrs. Leda Rubley of San Gabriel, Calif. ' Karrarra and New Harmony played a baseball game here Sunday afternoon. Kanarra was the winner by quite a wide margin. mar-gin. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Davis and children of Cedar City spent Saturday Sa-turday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Reeves. Mr. and Mrs. Ren Williams were business visitors in Nephi Tuesday. Mrs. Eloda Newbarger and Mrs. Gloria Anderson of Salt Lake City are visitors here with their brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Glade Berry. Arthur Jones of Albuquerque, N. M. called on relatives and friends here last week. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williams and children of Boulder City, Nev., spent a few days here and in Cedar City with Mr. and Um. Jess Williams and Mrs. Alfred! Stuckl. Mr. and Mrs. Perry O. Williams Wil-liams and daughters of Norti Les Vegas, visited here with bJas mother, Amanda Williams. They were accompanied on theiar return home by their niece, Nancy Nan-cy Williams, for a short visit Mrs. Williams also enjoyed visits vis-its from Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Prlwce of New Harmony, and grandchildren, grand-children, Deanna William tsX Henderson, and Mr. and Krsw Hal Torgerson of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Haskell and children of Payson spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and: Mr. Wlllard Batty. They were aoccan-panied aoccan-panied on their return home by their sister Carolyn and Rettaa Batty, who will visit there ft a while.
