Show Farm Bureau Families to Participate in Fair One of the special features of the Iron County Fair for 19G1 will be the annual presentation of the Farm Bureau Talent find and Speech Contest. This event will be staged in the Parowan High School auditorium audi-torium Saturday, Sept. 2 at 8 p. m., and the public is invited to attend. Members of families of the Iron County Farm Bureau will be divided into three age groups and will be participating for each cash prize and the right to advance to the State Fair finals to be held in Salt Lake City. In the first age group through 11 years of age, cash priz'i will be awarded to all participants, those in charge stated. The intermediate group, age 12 through 16, will be vying for cash prizes for first and second place honors and also the right to advance to the state finals where additional cash prizes will be awarded. The third group consists of those between 17 through 30. Cash prizes will be awarded In this division for first and second and the winner will move on to the state fair competition. On the state level, additional cash prizes will be offered and the state winner will also win the right to participate In the National Na-tional Farm Bureau Talent Find contest and additional prizes in Chicago, 111. The l'arm Bureau Talent Find has developed over the years into in-to an outstanding evening of entertainment and like other aspects as-pects of the County Fair, is growing each year, a spokesman stated. |
