Show New Officers Named To Second Ward Organizations Glen Leo Haltcrman, active church worker in the Parowan Second Ward, was sustained as fust counselor in that ward's bishopric on Sunday, Aug 20. Elder El-der llalterman has served as a member of the Parowan Stake High Council for the past five years and is the manager of the Parowan Stake welfare farm, where he has done an exceptionally exception-ally good job. He will succeed Joseph D. Benson, Ben-son, who lias been first counselor to Bishop Gordon Farnsworth in that ward, and who is to become be-come a member of the Utah Highway Patrol about Sept. 10 with heaquarters in Beaver. He is still in training at Camp Williams Wil-liams at the present time preparing pre-paring for his assignment. Bishop Farnsworth also announces an-nounces some other changes in officers of his ward organizations. organiza-tions. Dr. Reed Alder has been named as president of the YM-MIA, YM-MIA, with Mel Eyre and Lorin S. Orton as his assistants. James Worthen was named as an assistant as-sistant in the ward Sunday School Superintendency to succeed suc-ceed Mr. Orton. Mrs. Dorothy Rowley has been released as a counselor in the ward YtVMIA and has been sue-eeded sue-eeded by Mrs. Carol Farnsworth. Cora Hulet is president of the YWMIA with Joan Wheatley as one counselor. |
