Show C. B. Adams Resigns From Engineer's Post Announcement has been made by Cedar City Corporation of the retirement of Clemont B. Adams as head of the engineering department, de-partment, effective September 1. Mayor Anderson, in announcing announc-ing Mr. Adams's retirement from the engineering staff, stated that he had been With the city and the engineering department in one capacity or another for the past 12 years. In the past, he stated, the position pos-ition has been on a somewhat pait time basis, but the growing need for a full time engineer phis the other obligations of Mr. Adams as an instructor in the Iron County School system, made it necessary for him to step clown from the position. Mr. Adams was released by the council with a vote of thanks for his efforts and diligence in behalf of the city. The Mayor indicated that the records of the engineering department, under Mr. Adams' leadership, were commendable and far exceed departments de-partments of much larger cities In the state. Named to succeed Mr. Adams was LoRoy (Bud) Rhodes, who has worked under Mr. Adams for a number of years. |
