Show World Clothing Week Draws Support of Iron County Schools Beginning Monday. Jan. 27, school children will bring bun-riles bun-riles of clothing to school during World Clothing Week. According to Ianthus Wright, superintendent superintend-ent of school, the drive will continue con-tinue through Friday and is part of a nation-wide campaign to raise 3 million pounds of used clothing, shoes and bedding for orphaned and needy children and adults in the United Sta'es and overseas. World Clothing Week is conducted by the schools In cooperation with the Christian Christian Children's Fund, Inc., an in'ernatlonal charitable organization or-ganization ".'h'eh assists orphans and other needy children in the United States and 33 countries overseas. Superintendent Wright had this to say when announcir.T the drive: "We expect World Clothing Week to be one of the finest service projects ever conducted con-ducted by our schools. Every student has been given literature litera-ture to take home explaining the purpose of the drive and asking ask-ing the cooperation of parents and friends." Mr. Wright continued: "The Christian Children's Fund reports that good used clothing is one of the most vital neds of children chil-dren anil adults the world over. The minimum goal this year alone is 3 million pounds. World Clo'hing Week, the school children of Iron County will see to it that many needy boys and girls will be warmly clad this winter. At the same time our own young people will be learn-ing learn-ing a valuable lesson In humanity human-ity and experience the Joy that comes with sharing with those less fortunate.
