Show High School News The first see'ion of the Pao-wan Pao-wan High School yearbook, "Par-orama," "Par-orama," has gone to press, It is announced by Mrs. Marguerite Orton, faculty advisor to the yearbook committee. A special cover will be a feature fea-ture of the 1957-58 annual Mrs. Orton repor's. This cover, which is very unusual and different, has been designed by Wayne Merkley and Steven Orton. Thales Brown, vocational agricultural agri-cultural instructor at Parowan High School, is planning to attend at-tend the U'ah Vocational convention con-vention In Provo on Saturday of this week as the representative of the local school. The seventh grade of the Parowan Paro-wan school has had John H. Pendleton Pen-dleton as a special lecturer on three occasions recently, with his subject being on the history of Parowan. Mr. Pendleton first discussed the old wall built around the settlement as a pro'ection against Indians. He then discuss-I discuss-I ed Indian trouble had by the early ear-ly pioneers, and another lecture was on Pioneer Industry In Tpo wan. Today, Thursday, the class will hear Mrs. Nellie Clark tell tiie history of the Mormon E.it-talion. The Faculty Women's Club of the Parowan school is holding its January meeting tonight, Thursday, Thurs-day, at the apartment of Miss Meriam Anderson. A luncheon will be served after af-ter which the evening will be spent in visiting. Mrs. John Wood and Mrs. Gilbert Barton are assisting as-sisting Miss Anderson with arrangements ar-rangements for the evening. |
