Show Cedar City Redmen Recover irom Dixie To Drub Cowboys Smarting from a rather humiliating humil-iating defeat at the hands of the, Dixie Flyers two days earlier, the Cedar High School Redmen bas-jketball bas-jketball team bounced back Fri-'day Fri-'day night to drub the Kanab I Cowboys, 66 to 31. The Cowboys I had previously lost to the Flen j by three points. It Is only fair to say that Coach Boyd "Goonle" Adams' Cowboys j were "cold" in the Cedar game and could nor find the hoop on any type of shot. However, the Redmen played one of their very best games of the season and completely dominated the game. I Nell Pe"ty led the Redmen ot- tack and In the first quarter sank' three field goals and a foul shot, which coupled with two goals and a foul by Boyd Dover, three poins by Weston Kitchen, er. l one goal each by Eric Gardner and Phil Yergensen, pushed the( Redmen score to 19 points. The, visitors were held to four points on one goal and two foul shots. In the firs eight minutes of play. Gardner, Petty, Kichen and Yergensen Yer-gensen kept up the scoring to push 'he Redmen score to 33 points In the second period, and the half ended with the Cedar- team leading 33 to 12.
