Show Heart Attack Claims Life of Ernest J. Orton Ernest Johnson Orton, 74, well home here, with death attributed known and lifelong resident of'o a heart attack. He had appar-Parowan, appar-Parowan, died in his sleep someently been feeling all right when time during Monday night at hishe retired Monday evening, but was dead when his wife went to awaken him Tuesday morning. The deceased was born in Par-owan Par-owan on Oct. 29, 1883, a son of Samuel T. and Esther Johnson Orton, and had resided here all of his life. He at'ended local schools after which he worked with livestock, and had farming interests until he retired a few years ago. He was a member of the L D S church. He was married to Mary Bon-son Bon-son on June 4, 1908. and she with the following children survive sur-vive him: One son, Ivan B. Orton, Or-ton, Cedar City; threj daughters. Mrs. Roy (Maude) Hyatt, Mrs. Frank (Pearl) Stevens, Parowan, and Mrs. Eugene (Beth) Cena. Castro Valley, Calif. Also surviv- ! lng are four brothers, Silas, T. Twenty, and Hills Orton. Paro-owan, Paro-owan, and Ellis Orton, Buhl, Ida-ho; Ida-ho; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie O. Page and Mrs. Rebecca O. Smith, bo h of Parowan; one half brother, bro-ther, Joel H. oron. Union, Ore., 11 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services are being held for Mr. Orton this. Thursday, Thurs-day, afternoon in the Parowan Third Ward chapel and burial will be in the Parowan City cem- ietery. |
