Show Special Youth Events Scheduled For Holiday Program The sports program for the youngsters to be staged as a part of the Independence Day celebration, will afford many attractive at-tractive events. Races for the children nine years of age and under will be held at the City Park beginning at 10:30 a. m. Events kit girls and boys from 10 years of age up, will be staged at the Pony League park beginning at 1 p. M., with nearly $100 to be given away in prizes. In these events, first, second and third place prizes will be awarded with as high as $3.00 going to the winner of some of the races, $2.00 for second and $1.00 for third. In addition team shuttle races have been scheduled. sched-uled. A highlight of the afternoon will be "greased pig" contests for three different age groups. The first will be for boys 13, 14 and 15 years of age, and the second for boys 16 years of age and older. |
