Show Volunteer Firemen Make Plans For State Convention Members of the Cedar City Volunteer Fire Department met last week to further organize for the Utah State Firemens' convention con-vention to be held In Cedar City on Aug. 1, 2 and 3. Ralph lUnzon, general chairman chair-man for the convention which is expected to draw between 800 and 900 firemen and their wives to Cedar City for the three day confab, indicated that work has already been outlined. Assisting with the convention activities Is Ross Glass, as assistant chairman chair-man of the event. A number of reservations for the convention have already been received from throughout the state and the housing committee com-mittee Is beginning the necessary neces-sary work of providing for the conventioneers. Also the committee com-mittee in charge of the convention conven-tion program has been woikiug hard to get the booklet In readi-ness readi-ness for an early distribution to the various departments in the state. A parade, always a highlight of the convention, will be under the direction of Charles Moore and Paul Stewart will be In charge of banquet arrangements. |
