Show IL L Auxiliary Wins Recognition at Confab American Legion Auxiliary Unit 74 of Cedar City was well recognized at the State convention conven-tion held last week at Spanish Fork. The organization was especially es-pecially honored when It was awarded the coveted Child Welfare Wel-fare trophy. The trophy Is awarded the organization or-ganization which carries out the most effective child welfare program pro-gram in the state. On hand to receive the award was Mrs. Matilda Ma-tilda Biederman, president of the Cedar City unit, Mame Bulloch, vice president, and Alice Jones, past president of the local unit. In addition to the child welfare wel-fare trophy the Cedar City unit received an award for work of the historian, and a citation for an outstanding program in U. S. Savings Stamps and Bonds. Mrs. Biederman also reported that the Iscal organization played play-ed an important part in the election elec-tion of Libbie Matheson of Paro-wan Paro-wan as chaplain on the state lev-el lev-el and Joseph Manzione, Beaver as commander of the State American Legion. |
