Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS Gilbert, Barbara and Sullivan Richardson, also Anita At wood, spent several hours at the home of Elton Richardson on their way from Logan to Mesa. Oscher and Lucille Laechelt of Anon Lakes, Ohio, spent two ' days with the Elton Richardsons. They enjoyed a day picnicking at Parowan 5 mile. Mr. Leonard Haight is home after spending two weeks In Salt Lake City where he underwent major surgery. Mrs. Haight spent most of the time with him in Salt Lake. Mr. Haight Is feeling pretty well. President Knight spoke at Sacrament Sac-rament meeting Sunday. The Elders of the ward sponsored spon-sored a missionary party at Wood's Ranch Campground. It was a chicken dinner with a musical mu-sical number. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hickens of Provo visited here Sunday. The Hickens are spending this week with Mrs. Hicken's father, Wm. Grimshaw, at Paragonah Reservoir. Reser-voir. A group of Mr. Grimshaw's descendants spent the day with him. Delworth Armstrong and Norman Nor-man Grimshaw have been putting put-ting in cement ditches on their ! farms. ' Miss Jeannie Adair spent Sunday Sun-day here visiting and attending church. Mr. and Mrs. James Smith and Mrs. Lillian Smith spent some time last week in Logan visiting with tV Charles Bud Smiths. MiirS Connie Speirs, who is in Salt Lake City in the Shriner's Hospital, is getting along nicely. She will be in the hospital most of the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor D. Jones made a business trip to Salt Lake City Tuesday and Wednesday Wednes-day of last week. Ivor took a load of cattle up to the North Salt Lake Stock Yards. Capt. Henry Vandenberghe left Wednesday for Omaha, Neb. after af-ter a two weeks' visit with his wife, Renee, daughter, Sidnee, the Stanford Joneses and Maurice Mau-rice Vandenberghes. He will attend at-tend the University of Omaha for six months and upon completion com-pletion of his schooling, will receive re-ceive his B. S. degree. Capt. Vandenberghe has Just completed complet-ed flight training at Fort Ruckcr, Alabama, where he received his wings and promotion to Capt. Mrs. Vandenberghe and Sidnee will leave for Omaha in the near future. After completion of Capt. Vandenberghe's schooling he will be stationed at Fort Sill, Ok. |
