Show Special Permits Offered for Antlerless Deer With the publication of the 19(31 Utah Doer Hunting Proclamation Procla-mation in Sunday's daily papers, it was announced as part of the proclamation that 1500 head of antlerless deer permits will be sold again this year for Herd Unit No. 57, comprising the area running almost a complete circle around Parowan Valley. About the only range of hills not Included In-cluded in the proclamation arc the ones lying north and northwest north-west of the valley. Included In the two districts which make up Unit 57 are the mountainous areas encircling the valley and adjacent sections, those from the Fremont road connecting U. S. Highways 89 and 91 on the north, along 89 to the Long Valley Junction, down Utah Highway 11 to Cedar City and then along 91 back to the Fremont Fre-mont road. Then to this has been added the Summit Mountain area and the West Hills and Cedar Bottoms Bot-toms area for an extended hunt beginning on Oct. 21 and running run-ning to Nov. 12. The hunting dates on the rest of the unit co-lclde co-lclde with the regular deer hunt dates, Oct. 21 to Oct. 31, both Inclusive. In-clusive. The Herd Unit 51 Is divided into two districts, with what Is labeled the Parowan Main Canyon Can-yon Summit area special sale permits to number 800 and the district labeled Pa rowan -Para go-nah-Cottonwood to offer for sale 700 permits. For actual boundaries boundar-ies of the various districts consult con-sult the proclamation which was published Sunday. These special permits will go on sale at 9 a. m. on Aug. 14 at sales offices listed in the proclamation, proc-lamation, which states that the sales office for the 1500 permits to be offered for sale on Hunting Hunt-ing Unit 57, will be located in Parowan Again this year. |
