Show NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE I by Norma Christensen The Newcastle reservoir filled up and ran over this week. They have been running as much water wa-ter as they could out of the outlet out-let for about 10 days and It ).- still running. Everyone has been watering as much as they could and there is a big stream running run-ning down the creek. It is too bad that the rservoir isn't bigger to take care of the excess water on a year like this so we can use It on the dry years. This Is the third time In nine years that 1 it has gone over the spill-way. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine (Cleo) Applcgate and children of Blan-ding Blan-ding were week end visitors at! the home of their folks, Mr. and I Mrs. Sterling Tullis. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart and family were Sunday visitors In. Ordervllle at the home of Shir-1 ley's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crofts. Shirley's sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Murphey of Salt Lake City visited visit-ed at the Hart home this week. Saturday night, a wedding dance was held in the New liar-' mony ward hall in honor of new-lyweds, new-lyweds, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Gordon Gor-don who were married Saturday. The new bride Is the former Lau-reda Lau-reda Prince who has been living In and around New Castle. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Evans of Cedar City visited Beverly's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet have moved back to their home here In town for the summer. They have been living in St. George during the winter months. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Valora were visitors this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Chi istensen. They have been living in Los An-geles An-geles the past several months and were enroute to Anchorage, Alasak, where they will spend the summer. Mrs. Norma Thomas and family fami-ly of Enterprise, visited this week with her mother, Mrs. Cassle Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Harrison and family of St. George were week end visitors at the home of their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Mur-ray Harrison. |
