Show Sites on Dixie Forest Come Under New Land Fund Act Eleven Dixie National Forest developed recreation areas will be managed this summer under the new Land and Water Conservation Con-servation Fund Act charge program. pro-gram. Forest Supervisor Jack B. Shumate announced recently. 8 sites In more remote areas or with lower standard access or facilities will be available without with-out charge as they have been in the past. Also, no fee is required to travel through the Dixie National Na-tional Forest or to visit forest lands and water outside the designated de-signated areas, Supervisor Shumate Shu-mate said. A fee will not be required to hunt or fish on the forest. The new $7 sticker will allow the driver of a non -commercial vehicle and up to eight passengers passen-gers to use any of the designated areas during the entire season. The same sticker may be used on other National Forests or to enter National Parks. There Is no limit to the number of visits which may be made using the sticker. A single entry fee of 50 cents per day per person over 16 years of age may be paid by those who do not wish to purchase pur-chase an annual sticker. Receipts from the sale of stickers stick-ers will go into the Land and Water Conservation Fund established esta-blished by Congress last year. Funds will be used to assist states, counties, and municipalities municipali-ties in developing new recreation recrea-tion areas and to acquire key Federal recreation sites. Recreation sites designated under the charge program are: Pines, Juniper Park. Plue Springs, and Ponderosa on the Pine Valley Ranger District; Navajo Lake, Spruces, Duck Creek and Vermillion Vermil-lion Castle, Cedar City Ranger District; Pangultch Lake North and South, Pangultch Lake Ranger Ran-ger District; and Red Canyon on the Powell Ranger District. Facilities Fa-cilities suitable for group reservations, reser-vations, available in sonv of the areas, require a user fee in lieu of entrance fee when reserved.
