Show News in Brief By Marilten Austin Mr. and Mrs. Furl Fife of Las Vegas were up here last Thursday Thurs-day visiting with Mr. Fife's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Wllford Fife. Mrs. Maud Moyle is in Provo visiting relatives. . Mrs. Beverley Hunt and her new baby Jboy Eldon, born on May 21, are at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Barlocker. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Snow have been visiting with their daughter daugh-ter and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. Wayne Holt. Also visiting them Is Mrs. Holt's Aunt, Mrs. Inez Moody. Mrs. Agnes MacMahon, sister of Mrs. Arnold Barlocker, has been visiting with the Barlockers Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hyde traveled over the very scenic route to Escalante, Utah, last Thursday where Mr. Hyde attended at-tended the South Central Utah Telephone Association board meeting. Jack Godard is home visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Godard. Mrs. Eleanor Critchlow of Og-den Og-den is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Force for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Don J. Applegate and family have moved to Salt Lake City for the summer so that Don can attend summer school. I Mrs. Ida Tullis and her son Scott have gone to Phoenix, Ariz., to be with Mrs. Tullis's daughter since she lost her husband. hus-band. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gardner Journeyed to Salt Lake again last week for another of Mr. Gardner's treatments. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hulet held a housewarming for all of their friends last Sunday evening even-ing in their lovely new home. Robert Crum of Missoula, Montana, Mon-tana, is visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crum. Also Mr. and Mrs. Crum are the proud grandparents of a new baby girl, born to Mr. and Mrs. Benny McCabe of Parker, Arizona on May 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Moyle made combined business and pleasure trip to Salt Lake City last wcnk. Mr. Moyle took a trueklo.nl of pigs to Salt Lake, while Mr. Moyle stayed in Provo Pro-vo to visit with her daughter, Miss Rose Ann Moyle, who plans to stay in Provo this summer to continue her school. Mrs. Don Applegate, Mrs. Jean Jolley, Mrs. Leda Jolley and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wood and their families enjoyed an impromptu picnic supper at the Wood home last Monday evening. Jack Moyle, Miss Karma Taylor, Tay-lor, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Holt and Mrs. Mildred Tullis attended the MIA Stake Board meeting in Enterprise last Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Force really real-ly had a house full of company over the week end. One of their !?d hi! f nTrtil v Mr and Mrs. Howard Force, flew In from San Bernardino. Their two daughters (Mrs. Eleanor Critchlow Critch-low of Ogden and Mrs. Eloise White, Milford) were there; also Sgt. Lee was enroute from Oregon Ore-gon to Louisiana. Also a grandson, grand-son, Truce Truman, was there from Ogden. Truce brought a friend o( his, Jerry Coombs, also from Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Dotson and Mrs Carol Get-ker, Get-ker, all of Panaca, Nev., were there too. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence K. Hef-ter Hef-ter and son Steven were here visiting vis-iting with Mrs. Hofter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gardner over the week end. Mrs. Norma Chrlstensen was guest of honor at a baby shower given for her by Mrs. Grace Beacham Thursday afternoon at the Beacham home In Newcastle. Tom Anzalone Is back in the hospital after a relapse following follow-ing a previous heart attack. Mrs. Maude Moyle has moved back to her summer home near the home of her son and his family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Moyle. The June meeting of the Escalante Es-calante Valley Women's Club will be held Thursday, June 19 at the home of Mrs. Doris Peterson. Peter-son. Mrs. Jenor Whltelaw will be co-hostess. An outdoor lawn party is planned If the weather permits. |
