By Mola Kupfer Enjoying an overnight stay Wednesday with the Don Drapers as they traveled to California, were Mrs. Draper's sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Haddock Had-dock of Logan. Hooper, Utah, will be the new home for the coming school year for Mrs. Merelyn Bradshaw and her two children. Mrs. Bradshaw plans to attend a beauty culture school in Ogden until such time as she receives her license. Accompanying Ac-companying here on the trip Monday was her father-in-law, Reed Bradshaw. The home of Mrs. Lillian Ran-dall Ran-dall was the meeting place for the Garden Club as they gathered gath-ered together on Monday afternoon. after-noon. Members Lauretta Perry, Grace Heyborne, Ora Price, Afton Parry, Pearl Rogers, Ina Middle, ton, Annie McDonough, Jenie Perry. Dewle Thorley, Libbie Nelson, Nel-son, Grace Esplin and the hostess host-ess were present to participate in a group discussion on methods of planting and caring for roses, lawn moths and the establishing establish-ing of a community garden In Cedar City. After the discussion garden poetry was read and refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed. Stopping at the Glenn Wahl-quist Wahl-quist home Wednesday as they traveled to Vernal were Mrs. Wahlquist's sister and husband, Mr. nd Mrs. Normn Angus of Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Conway Parry traveled to Meadow Monday to attend the funeral services of Mrs. Parry's nephew, Clell S. Bush-nelL Bush-nelL Mr. and Mrs. Earl B. Clark of Los Angeles, have been visiting in Cedar City with their daughter daugh-ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jones. Arriving on Friday Fri-day of last week, they spent until un-til Wednesday visiting and en-i en-i jylng their many friends here. With the coming of fall, the Beta Sigma Phi sorority has once again begun its regular schedule of meetings. The home of Mrs. Joan Skinner was the scene for the first fall gathering. Under the direction of President Evelyn Eve-lyn Williams, the year's program was discussed and the individual program books distributed. Committees Com-mittees In charge of the year's activities were also announced. After the business meeting refreshments re-freshments were served to 22 members with Mrs. Pat Imlay. and Mrs. Donna Beth Cooley in charge. An evening of bridge was en-' en-' joyed by Nona Cheever, Valyn Wood, Delna Arthur, Alma Kunz, Helen Mathews, Aleen Stewart. I Helen Eyman, Lenore Lee, Alice Hickman, Dorothy Harris and I Elsie Seegmiller when they were entertained by Mrs. Arthur Burn, ham last Wednesday evening. The hostess served lovely refreshments. re-freshments. Bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Seegmiller Seeg-miller and Mrs. Hickman. I Mrs. Carma Dobson Invited Mrs. Dorothy Urie, Mrs. Betty Randall, Mrs. Melva Rowberry, Mrs. Fran Evans and Mrs. Elva Yergensen as special guests as she entertained her bridge club last Wednesday evening. After light refreshments, the evening was spent at bridge with prizes being won by Mrs. Winona Cowan, Cow-an, Mrs. Betty Randall, Mrs. Melva Mel-va Rowberry and Mrs. Fran Evans. The Seventh Ward MIA officers offi-cers announce that Dan Crawford Craw-ford is now conducting the Special Spe-cial Interest class In a study of the Book of Mormon.
