Show Succeesful Scotch Doubles Tournament Concluded by Women's Bowling Association A most successful Scotch Doubles Dou-bles tournament was staged this past week end by the Cedar Women's Wo-men's Bowling Association. Following the conclusion of the event Sunday evening, Howard and Louise Savage were declared winners in the handicap event. . The couple won a three-day. two night trip to Las Vegas, Nev. The Savages came up with a game of 250 including seven successive suc-cessive strikes to post the win. They ended up with a 616 scratch series and with handicap walked away with the event with a 696. In second place and winning a cooler donated by the Randall Bros, of 7-Up Bottling Co., were Dick and Christine Winterrose. . They rolled a 576 scratch series and wound up with a 673 with handicap. In third place was a team of Steve Asmus and Virginia Hunt They captured a $10 cash prize donated by Iron County Lumber with a 643 handicap series and a 558 scratch. Those in charge of the event indicated that the prizes would be awarded Sunday at 4:30 p. m. at the Cedar Bowling Lanes. At the same time prizes will also be drawn in connection with contributions which have been collected by the women's organization. organi-zation. The monies from both projects will be used to defray expenses in the Utah Women's Bowling Tournament which will be staged in the month of March and which the Cedar City group and Cedar Bowling Lanes will host.
