Show Legion Nine Wins And Loses to Las Vegas, Hurricane i The Cedar City American Legion Le-gion team managed by Rube Wlnterrose won against Las Vegas Ve-gas and lost against Hurricane in play during the past week. In the game against Las Vegas Ve-gas which pitted 13 and 14 year-olds year-olds exclusively the Cedar nine walked all over the Vegas club by a score of 19 to 5 on the local diamond. Cedar out-played and outhlt the Vegas team, collecting collect-ing 11 hits compared to 5 for Vegas. Cedar's big Inning was the sixth, in a nine inning game, when they scored nine of their 19 runs. Elroy Nelson did the chucking for the first eight innings in-nings of play with Neil Petty relieving re-lieving him in the ninth. Gayle Simkins was behind the plate for the full nine innings. Extra base hits were lined out by Travis Nelson, a double, and Eddie Miller, Mil-ler, a triple.
