Show Summer Activities I Climaxed By "Little Leaguers" The "Little Leaguers" of Cedar City climaxed their summer baseball base-ball season Saturday evening by dowing two strong St. George teams 6 to 2 and 2 to 1 respectively. respect-ively. Neil Petty did the pitching for Cedar in the first game with Travis Nelson doing the catch-inc. catch-inc. Petty struck out seven St. i George players and allowed six hits. Hirschi, pitching for St. George struck out eight players and allowed only four hits to the Cedar nine. Errors were the determining factor of the game, with St. George committing eight compared com-pared to only two by Cedar. Both of St. George's runs came from home runs hit by Hafen, first base, and Workman, left fielder for the St. George club. Extra base hits by Cedar were made by Nelson, a double, and by Kendall Jones, a triple. Art Pryor did the pitching for Cedar and allowed al-lowed only three hits during the six innings of play. St. George's only run came at the top of the sixth inning when H. Snow, pitcher for St. George hit a home run down the third base line. Cedar collected four hits in the game and scored both of their runs in the third inning.
