Show Telephone Employee Promoted, Goes To American Fork William R. Baker, employed at the Cedar City telephone exchange ex-change since 1946, has been pro-moted pro-moted to Wire Chief of the American Fork, Lehl and Pleas-ant Pleas-ant Grove exchange. Mr. and Mrs. Baker, with their two daughters, Judy and Sandra, will make their home in American Fork. . Mr. Baker started his career with the Western Electric com-r&ny com-r&ny prior to 1941, then transferred trans-ferred to the Mourtain States Telephone company, and ' has been with that firm since, except ex-cept for an absence of three years while serving with the Sea Bees during World War II, half of which time was spent on overseas duty. Upon his return to civilian life he was sent to Cedar City in 1946, serving as combination man. In 1948 he was made switchboard man, the position he held when his transfer to American Ameri-can Fork was made. |
