Show Two-Man Quota Set For September By Selective Service The Iron County Selective Service Ser-vice board was able to provide four men of a six-man quota for induction into military service ser-vice during August, and now has a call for two men to report for Induction in September. The two men must report on Sept. 22, ac-j ac-j cording to E. B. Dalley, clerk of the board. The four men called under the August quota reported on Monday, Mon-day, Aug. 18, including Dean Maxwell, Kenneth Judd and Glen Tullis of Cedar City, and Keith D. Benson of Parowan. Jay Perry Slack, who was to have reported was granted a postponement post-ponement pending another physical phy-sical examination. The postponement postpone-ment was ordered by the State I Selective Service office. In addition to the September 'call for two men to report for induction, the local board must also send five men In for pre-induction pre-induction physical examinations on Sept. 2. Several doctors and dentists of Cedar City will report in- Salt Lake City for physical examinations examin-ations on Aug. 28. Dr. Reed W. Farnsworth reported Wednesday morning, having been granted the change of time because he Iwas leaving for a vacation trip I to California. |
