Show Two Eids Submitted For Sower Line, None for Airport Only two bids had been received re-ceived by the city Monday when bids were opened for resurfacing resurfac-ing the taxi st rip at the municipal munici-pal airport, and for laying a trunk .sewer line in the Northwest North-west section of the city. Both bids were on the sewer line project. pro-ject. Not a single bid was received re-ceived on the airport project. City officials feel that the bids on the sewer project are too high, and have issued a re-call for new bids. They will be opened on Aug. 29. Chester Parry submitted the low bid on the sewer line job. His bid totaled $7,020.98, as compared com-pared to a bid of $8,032.90 submitted sub-mitted by H. J. Delaney and J. N. Smith. The bid is for digging a sewer trench from 500 West to 1500 West strets, laying the sewer sew-er pipe, refilling the trench and installing 10 "man holes." Break-down of the two bids is as follows: Trench digging and refill, 3054 cubic yards, Parry 75c a yard, or $2290.98; Delaney and Smith, 78c a yard, or $2382.90. Laying of pipe, Parry 95c per foot, or 95c per foot, or $3230; Delaney De-laney and Smith, $1.00 per foot, or $3400. Installing 10 man holes, Parry $150 each, or $1500; Delaney De-laney and Smith $225 each or $2250. |
