Show Subscription Contest Starts for Iron County Teen-agers In recent years the population popula-tion of Cedar City has Increased Increas-ed by leaps and bounds and in order that you, the public, may be informed as to the happenings in your community, commu-nity, the Iron County Record is sponsoring a subscription contest for teen-agers to disperse dis-perse this information to those who have recently moved to our community. In this issue you will find an advertisement on the teenage teen-age subscription contest that we are holding, with rules and regulations enclosed. Those of you between the ages of 12 and 19 will be wise to check this contest which offers prises pris-es as well as commissions for subscriptions sold during the three weeks campaign. The grand prize to be awarded between shows at the Cedar Theatre on the evening of Sept. 8 will be a complete Brownie Motion Picture set including in-cluding Camera, Projector and Screen from Zion Photo Shop, valued at $125.00. Second prize, and one that is fitting for this "back to school" time, is a S50 wardrobe ensemble for boy or girL The lucky boy can cash his S50 certificate at Stevens Ste-vens and Co., or if it is a girl she can cash the certificate at Priscilla Shop or Castleton's, either one or both, depending on her personal selection. Third prize and another favorite fav-orite for the 12 to 19-year-olds will be an Elgin Wrist Watch, purchased from Mullett Jewelry, Jewel-ry, with a value of $35. If you are not one of the top three you are not out of the picture by any means. Those who enter will be given a 10 per cent commission for all subscriptions sold, leaving it completely up to the individual individ-ual as to what he wants to earn. Don't think that new subscriptions sub-scriptions are all we want The contest is based on new ' and renewed subscriptions. The system works thus: 5.000 points will be given for new subscriptions and 3000 points will be given for renewals with total number of points compiled by the individual to determine the winners. To eliminate confusion the lobby of the Cedar Theatre will be used as the headquarters headquar-ters of this contest, through the courtesy of the Yergensen Bros., and applications to enter en-ter will be available at that location Saturday,, between 9 and 12 a. m. forfthose who wish to get an early start. Subscription turn-in will be made during the hours of 9 and 12 a. m. each day Monday Mon-day through Saturday at the theatre until Sept. 5. The contest is wide open for Iron County teen-agers with only employees and members of employee's families fam-ilies eliminated as contest candidates. |
