Show Local Lcgicn Post To Bring Carnival to Cedar City The American Legion Post No. 74 of Cedar City has completed arrangements to bring a carnival carni-val to Cedar City Wednesday, Thursday. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2(, 27, 28 and 2!), according to Lorin C. Miles, chairman of the project. A money raising project for the Legion, the carnival, one that specializes in children's amusement amuse-ment rides, will bring the four night stand under a percentage agreement between the Midway Shows and 'he American Legion. Le-gion. According to the show manager. manag-er. Ed Lundgren of Brigham City, Utah, the carnival features about seven children's rides including rides on live ponies. Other rides will be the ever popular Merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, roll-a-plane and a glider swing. Besides Be-sides the rides 20 concessions will be included with only one 'show to be presented by the company, that a snake show. 1 Necessary arrangements were completed in Cedar City today by Mr. Milles and Legion Commander Comman-der Orville Isom. A committee to handle the affair has been ' named. It includes Mr. Miles, chairman; Mr. Isom, in charge of location and tickets, with George Grimshaw, Nathan Byers and Or-:Win Or-:Win Green as committeemen.
