Show Commercial Teacher Signed on Branch College Staff is.?1 ' S y : j ; Miss Jennie Bea Jones, a native na-tive of Malad, Idaho, graduate of the Brigham Young university and a widely experienced secretarial secre-tarial worker, will arrive in Cedar Ce-dar City soon to take up her duties du-ties as an instructor in the commercial com-mercial department of the Branch Agricultural college, according ac-cording to Dr. Daryl Chase, director. di-rector. The commercial department of the branch college has become recognized as one of the best in the state, with all graduates of the past few years placed in employment em-ployment before the completion of their training, and the addition addi-tion of Miss Jones to the staff is expected to add more strength to the department. After receiving her degree from BYU in 1948, with a major in commerce and a minor in music, mu-sic, Miss Jones was named head of the Bear River high school commercial department. In this position she made such an outstanding out-standing record that she received an appointment to the United States Foreign Service. After a brief training period in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, she was sent to Trieste, where she remained from 1949 until February of 1952. In addition to her experience in teaching and in the foreign service, Miss Jones has also had considerable experience with commercial firms of Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. Recognized as one of B Y U's outstanding commercial graduates, gradu-ates, Miss Jones is a member of Pho Chi Theta, national professional profes-sional business sorority for women. |
