Show Assumes New Area Conservationist lob As a result of a recent realignment re-alignment of the Soil Conservation Conserva-tion Service in Utah Wilford Has-furthers Has-furthers of Cedar City has been designated as area conservationist conservation-ist for Area No. 4 which includes Millard, Beaver, Iron, Kane and Washington counties, with headquarters head-quarters in Cedar City. The re-alignment and the appointment ap-pointment of Mr. Hasfurthers as conservationist for the area was made by J. A. Libby, state conservationist con-servationist for the Soil Conservation Conser-vation Service. He explained that changes in the SCS set-up in Utah are a part of a nationwide reorganization. Previously, the state has been divided into 13 SCS work areas. Under the new plan, there will be six work areas with an area conservationist conservation-ist in charge of each. Mr. Libby said that the realignment re-alignment of the SCS set-up is made because of the continuing increase in the number of soil conservation districts and the corresponding increase in land areas in these districts. There are now 47 districts in Utah which include 88 per cent of the state's area. |
