Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NOTES Bishop and Mrs. LaVon Jones and children of Denver are spending a week here, having come for the golden wedding anniversary an-niversary of LaVon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Jones. Glen Garfield visited a few days in SaJt Lake City, having gone to join his sister from Denver, Den-ver, and brother from California, who were there to attend L D S conference. Miss Betty Jones of Las Vegas Is spending a week visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wil-lard Wil-lard Jones. Bishop Stanford Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Murie and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Grimshaw attended attend-ed L D S conference in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Christiansen Chris-tiansen have bought the Douglas Doug-las Grimshaw home here. Mr. and Mrs. Grimshaw are going to move to Phoenix, Ariz. The MIA Sunday evening meeting attracted a large crowd. Besides having a nice program special awards were presented. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Gibson spent Sunday in Mlnersville visiting vis-iting with Mrs. Gibson's parents. Mrs. Elaine Nelson is attending attend-ing leadership s'chooj In Logan this week. She Is president of the Iron County Farm Bureau auxiliary auxil-iary and Is attending school as a representative of this group. Miss Barbara Jones of Las Vegas Ve-gas and Glen Booth of Henderson, Hender-son, Nev., spent Sunday In Enoch visiting with Barbara's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Jones. Miss Delia Garfield is spend- ing part of this week attending a nurses' convention in Salt Lake City. A large number of out-of-town people attended a farewell testimonial tes-timonial here Monday for Lorin Jones, who is leaving to fill a mission for the L D S Church. He will labor in the California mission. Bert Langford of Cedar City will teach a class in genealogy in Enoch every Thursday evening until the course Is completed. The classes wiU open a 7:30 p. m. |
