Show Extensive Property Damage Laid to Farm Blaze Fire, apparently caused by spontaneous combus'tlon in a hay stack eaTly Monday morning caused an estimated $5,000 damage dam-age at the Lee Banks farm Just north of Cedar City. The farm is located directly west of the cemetery. ceme-tery. The Tire destroyed about 10 tons of hay and a large shed and all its contents, including 'expensive tools and furniture stored in the shed. Furniture, including in-cluding a new refrigerator and electric range, and at least $1000 worth of tools' were destroyed, Fire Chief Ralph Hanzon reports. The fire was well under way when, the alarm sounded at 5;30 a. m., and although three pump trucks and a lG-man crew were rushed to the fire, shortage of water made it Impossible to do much more than prevent the fire from spreading to the farm home and other buildings. The fire was brought under control after two hours of effort on the part of the firemen. |
