Show JUNIOR HI-LITES by Rolaine Grant Lana Jean Prince Events for the week include a football game coming up Friday, Oct. 8. Students will be dismissed at 1 p. m. with a c'ass during the lunch hour, and will return to attend the game at 2 p. m. While the junior high does not enter in competitive sports, in two or three short years students will be pJaylng the game or rooting from the sidelines. In learning the game now we can learn to appreciate it when we enter high school. Two weeks from Friday, Oct. 21, the student council will give an assembly, while the next school dance will be scheduled for Halloween. Hal-loween. The Art Club, under the direction direc-tion of Glen D. Anderson, is getting get-ting in the first steps as far as organized activities go. One trip has already been made by the group In mId-Septembef, to Mirror Mir-ror Lake to pick up some experience exper-ience In painting scenic still life. Ray B. Hansen is giving his students some first hand information infor-mation in Indian Lore by having them make pottery. Although we have made quite a mess we expect ex-pect something out of it. The first edition of the school paper, "Teen Age Times," will come out Friday, Oct 21. Students Stu-dents have been advised to look for the publication. |
