Show Jeep Offered as Prize In Fund Drive By Junior Chamber In an effort to stimulate a drive for funds to be used in connection connec-tion with the Christmas Lighting program, carried out annually by the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, contributions are being asked through this week and up to the night of Oct. 20 with a prize of a 1951 Jeep Station Wagon Wa-gon to be awarded to the lucky contributor, according to A. L. Thompson, chairman of the fund raising event. All Jaycees have tickets available avail-able and they have assured the public that all proceeds from the drive will be used exclusively lor the Christmas activities. Drawing for the lucky contributor contrib-utor to be awarded the Jeep will be held at the Deer Hunters' Ball on Thursday evening, Oct. 20. Thompson reminded patrons, however, that contributions to the Christmas fund would not admit them to' the dance. The drawing Is being held in connection with the dance through the cooperation coopera-tion of the American Legion, he pointed out. The Jeep that will be awarded has been around town for all to see and patrons are encouraged to contribute to the fund. |
