Considering the problem of filling fill-ing all teaching positions in Iron County Schools, the Board came to the conclusion that the best solution solu-tion of the problem Is to train ru;al people In a rural Institution for the teaching profession, In order that those who accept positions In schools of this part of the state would understand un-derstand the problems of children and parents of such areas, and be happy away from the more populated populat-ed centers. With this In mind the Board passed a resolution asking that four-year teacher training be Instituted at the Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural College. The Board also spent some time In considering the teacher contracts for next year, but could take no action pending the outcome of the school legislative program In the state legislature at the present time. |
