Show Judges Named For V. F. W. Auxiliary Essay Contest - Three persons have been chosen from different fields of endeavor as Judges for the Veterans of Foreign For-eign Wars Auxiliary Essay Contest now being conducted in the high schools of Iron County. They are: L. N. Marsden, Jr., representing the field of business, manager of Mars-den's Mars-den's store, president of the Lions Club, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Coordinating Council, and committee member of the Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. H. Wayne Driggs, home-maker. home-maker. Mrs. Driggs, came to Cedar City In August, 1945, when her husband hus-band accepted the position of Director Dir-ector of the Branch Agricultural College. An English Major, Mrs. Driggs received her A. B. degree from Brlgham Young University, and did graduate work in Child Psychology at the Columbia University Un-iversity in New York. Edwin L. Peterson, instructor of Political Sclcnccjat. thcBranch Agricultural Ag-ricultural College, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the City Council. The sponsors of the contest announce an-nounce that all essays must be in the hands of the Essay Contest Chairman, Mrs. Pauline Hunter, by April 1st. |
