After days of intensive campaigning, Frank Petty's daughter, Patty, walked off with the honors when the student stu-dent body named her It's new leader! Not only Is Patty happy, but most of her running mates are smiling these days, too. Other Oth-er victorious "Lifesavers" are: T. J. Jones as vice president; Marie Ashcroft as the new secretary and treasurer; Tommy Givan as Chief of Safety; J. N. Webster as athletic manager; and for cheer leaders Barbara Lunt and Teddy Bird. Hot-off-the-wlre! and we do mean wire! Our new Intercommunications Intercom-munications system Is really getting get-ting a good workout. In addition to Mr. Miles greetings each morning, many students are fast becoming old hands at this broadcasting business. Programs consisting of exciting experiences, experienc-es, newspaper interviews. Constitution Consti-tution day festivities, and a Columbus Col-umbus Day play have already been presented to the entire student stu-dent body "over the air". These few weeks of school have already furnished an abundance of special events for the enjoyment enjoy-ment of the entire student body. Rublnoff thrilled everyone with the mastery of his Stradlvarius, and Schuster, the eminent cellist was heard by a capacity crowd. All students are especially fortunate for-tunate to have the music arts offerings Included in the price of the student body cards this year. More enthusiastically greeted are the battles on the gridiron-twice gridiron-twice already this year the scnool has attended football games. . Several classes have experience ed seemingly "extra curricula!" activities since school started a little more than a month ago. A geography class has visited the Iron mine, the Journalism class explored the offices of the Iron County Record, and several class parties have been enjoyed-what's enjoyed-what's more, many new and exciting ex-citing adventures are in the future fut-ure for all. Clubs are news! Exciting things are being done each day at eleven. Perhaps your child is fashioning a wallet In Mrs. Bell's leathercraft club or learning the tricks of photography from Mr. Osborne, or is fast becoming a musician in band or glee club. Journalism may be his special interest - or even banking. It's Mr." Bennett's commercial math-ematlcs math-ematlcs club that takes care of the extra nickles and dimes at school! Speaking of money--everyone Is especially proud of the fine record many students have made returning lost valuables to their owners. Most recent of these is Paul Fife, the Puls In our school seem to have the most "finding" ways, who turned in some money only last Monday. Well, this is all for now.
