Show Fairview laycees Win Trophy at Cedar City Meet Members of Junior Chambers of Commerce from six Utah cities gathered In Cedar City Saturday night for the monthly 'Travel Trophy" party, at which the Cedar Ce-dar City Jaycees were hosts. Rep-resented Rep-resented at the meeting were, besides the Cedar City group, St. George, Provo, Fairview, Layton and Sprlngville, with the Fair-view Fair-view group winning the trophy for having traveled the most man miles to attend. As a result the Fairview Junior Chamber will be host at the next Travel Trophy party. D. C. Dlx, first president of the Cedar City organization, and president of the State Junior Chamber of Commerce at the time travel trophy was Instigated, Instigat-ed, was the speaker at the Saturday Sat-urday meeting. He stressed the value of fellowship as developed by the Jaycee organization, and the Importance of the travel trophy tro-phy meetings as a means of creating cre-ating closer fellowship, not only between members but between communities. J. C Haws was master of ceremonies cere-monies at the banquet, and those present were entertalnd by Clive Hartman who sang several solos. Following the dinner the visitors were guests at the 20-40 dance held at the hotel. |
