Show B A C to Present Van Dreuton's Play "I Remember Mama" This Quarter After having difficulty In deciding de-ciding between two plays to produce pro-duce during the winter quarter, Branch Agricultural college has decided upon John Van Drueton's "I Remember Mama", according to Twain Tippetts, speech division divis-ion chairman. The othr play which was under consideration, "John Loves Mary", will be produced pro-duced In the spring quarter. "I Remember Mama" was adapted from the book "Mama's Bank Account" by Kathryn Forbes. Try-outs for parts In the play were held last Friday, the results re-sults being announced Monday. The persons making up the Norwegian Nor-wegian family upon which the play is based are: Mama, portrayed por-trayed by Elaine Southwlck, Cedar Ce-dar City; Papa, by Theron Ash- croft, Cedar City; Katrln, by Marilyn Mar-ilyn Ronnow, Panaca, Nevada; Christine, by Velma Williams, Clearfield; Dagmar by UlDene Adams, Cedar City, and the part of Neils is yet undecided. Other cast members include: Walt Lunt, Virgie Frame, Lucre-tia Lucre-tia Ashcroft, Gwyn Clark, Kenneth Ken-neth Simkins, Grace Esplin, Roma Ro-ma Justet and Bill Ben ward all of Cedar City; Seymour Salman-owitz Salman-owitz and Henry Anderson, New York; Howard Maughan, Logan; Yvonne Nelson, Colleen Morten-sen Morten-sen and Gladys Banks, Delta, and Ray Taylor, Richfield. The play is scheduled for presentation pre-sentation the second week la February and will play five nights in Cedar City. Then it is scheduled for a tour of towns such as Richfield, Salina, Monde, Mon-de, St. George, Parowan, Beaver, and Las Vegas, Panaca and Boulder City, Nevada. |
