Show Cedar and Logan Chamber Discuss Mutual Problems Steps were taken this week by the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce Com-merce to protect the interests of Cedar City and of southern Utah with regards to proposed legislation, legis-lation, when a delegation from the local organization met with a similar group from the Logan Chamber of Commerce. The meeting meet-ing was held In Salt Lake City Tuesday with Warren Bulloch, president; Neil Boyter, secretary; J. L. Fakler and Orvllle Isom, directors, of the Cedar City chamber, cham-ber, and Dr. J. S. Prestwich, member mem-ber of the Board of Trustees of the Utah State Agricultural college, col-lege, meeting with George Preston, Pres-ton, Guy Cardon and Adrian Hatch, representing the Logan organization. A wide range of subjects were discussed, Including educa-Ion, educa-Ion, taxation and similar matters, mat-ters, and the effect various proposals pro-posals would have on the southern south-ern and northern areas of the state. The meeting resulted in a bettor bet-tor understanding between the representatives of the two areas with regards to their attitudes on various proposals, all of which may have a far-reaching effect not only on the areas represented represent-ed but on the entire state. |
