Show Master Singers Thrill Crowd In Las Vegas, Easter Las Vegas, Nev. March 29 Awe-inspiring Awe-inspiring Easter sunrise services yesterday yes-terday marked the Inauguration of Las Vegas' still unfinished Elks stadium, sta-dium, as a throng of 3500 persons gathered to participate In the Resurrection Res-urrection Day worship. The stadium, which will accommodate accom-modate 10,000 persons when completed, com-pleted, is being constructed primarily pri-marily to serve as a permanent home for the city's annual Hell-dorado Hell-dorado rodeo, which will be held this year from May 13 to May 10. Featured at the sunrise services were the Master Singers of Cedir City, Utah, a choral group of sixty voices which performed Saturday in the Las Vegas LDS ward, and was prevailed upon to stay over to participate par-ticipate in the Easter community service. As the sun appeared over the crest of nearby Sunrise Mountain, the Impressive service began with organ music, followed by prayer, congregational singing and an Easter East-er sermon. " Before the benediction, the Master Singers rendered an arrangement of an anthem chosen especially for tru occasion, and were enthusiastically received by the assembly. |
