Show Cedar Horsemen Get Invitations To Enter Horses In Big Race Last week we published a story that Robert L. Fenton of Paroan, had been Invited to enter one or more of his 1947 oroughbred colts In a special race In California In 1951, and now we find Wiat R. E. Wlnturrose, Henry Mackelprang and Douglas Clark of Cedar City have also received invitations. The Invitations were received from the Los Angeles Turf club, and nomination blanks for the "Santa Anita Maturity", a $100,000 added race for four-year-olds, were Included. The race Is to be run at Santa Anita Park during the 1951 . meeting. An innovation at Santa Anita, the huge purse for the winner of the race will be made up of the yearly fees which will be paid by those nominating their colts and which will be accumulated until the time comes to run them as four-year-olds. The lnvitaton to these men, Is In recognition for the work they have done in breeding and developing thoroughbreds in recent years.
