Each receives re-ceives a 17-Jewel gold wrist watch provided by Edward Fobs Wilson, Chicago moat packer. Robert has been a 4-H'er eight years and has served as leader, vice president, and secretary of his club. Ills poultry poul-try project achievements won him a trip to the Natlonnl 4-H Club Congress In 1916. At U.S.A.C. Col-lege Col-lege Robert Is a member of Lambda Delta Sigma, and In church he served as secretary of the leadership leader-ship committee. Ann has been In club work eight years. She has served as leader, president, secretary, treasurer, and reporter of her club. She has won two firsts In state fair contests on a wool suit and top coat, and a child's costume. Total estimated value of all her projects Is $1,758.00. She has given 22 talks at various meetings, three ot which were broadcast. Ann, who has been active ac-tive In many other community ac tivities, is now attending Utah State Agricultural College. Gaylen Ashcroft, 16, of Hyde" Tark, is the state winner In the 4-H Dairy Production activity. He receives re-ceives a $25.00 U. S. Savings Bond award provided by Kraft Foods Co. During four yeurs in club work, Gaylen has completed 15 projects, the Income from which he estimates esti-mates at $1,697.00. He now has s herd of six Holsteln cattle. He learned the value of keeping better bet-ter records, using better breeding animals and culling out non-productive animals. He serves as president presi-dent of his club. Utah's two individual winners in the 1947 Special 4-H Wear-Care Demonstration awards program are Wllma Fairbourn, 16, of Sandy, and Helen Peterson, 17, of Logan. Each will receive a $25.00 cash award provided by the American Viscose Corp. Wllma demonstrated "Getting "Get-ting Rid of Unwanted Fullness In Wool" and the title of Helen's demonstration dem-onstration was "The Pressing pt a Wool Garment." All ot these activities are conducted under the direction ot the Eiten slon Service of the State Agricultural College and USDA cooperating |
