Show Cedar Lions Complete Convention Plans Time at the Monday meeting meet-ing of the Cedar City Lions club was spent in making preparations prepara-tions for participation in the state convention of Lions to be held in St. George on June 3, 4 and 5. The local club, in addition ad-dition to attending in large numbers, num-bers, will participate in several activities. Of greatest importance will be the conducting of a "model luncheon" to be staged at noon Friday, the second day of the convention. The detailed program pro-gram has been completed, and will be presented under the direction di-rection of President Kumen S. Gardner. Pratt Bethers, president elect, will act as 'Tail Twister" at this meeting. Friday afternoon the Cedar club will enter a softball team In a special tournament to be staged in connection with the convention. If they win Friday they will compete in the finals Saturday afternoon. As a means of assisting with the housing problem, at St. George members of the local club who attend the convention will return to Cedar City each night rather than taking rooms in the convention city. |
