Show Complete Results of B. A. C. Vocational jDay Announced ! In the field of Agriculture Parowan Par-owan High carried very heavy honors. Purowan teams finished first In the Judging of Poultry, Crops and Dairy Cattle and second In Sheep. In the general over-all judging picture, Parowan was first followed by Beaver and Delta, In that order. Agricultural Individual winners were: Sheep Judging Dale Harris of Beaver 1st, Ray Cartwright of Beaver 2nd, and Keith Russell of Parowan 3rd. Beef Judging Edward Ed-ward Higbee of Cedar 1st. Ross Stevens of Cedar 2nd, and Karl Snow of Dixie High 3rd. Dairy Judging Lloyd DeMille of Parowan Par-owan 1st, Donald Stahell of Hurricane Hur-ricane 2nd, and Sheldon Callister of Delta 3rd. In team Judging of Sheep the schools placed beaver, Parowan I and Dixie In that order. In Beef Virgin Valley of Bunkerville, Nevada Nev-ada took 1st, but could not compete com-pete with the Utah schools because of a state luling. Hurricane and Delta, in that order, were the top Utah teams In this field. In Dairy cattb. Parowan took a 1st, followed by Hurricane 2nd, and Delta 3rd, In the field of Business, Dixie High School led the field with three first place winners, Hurricane Hurri-cane followed closely and Cedar City droppe- in a 3rd. In 1st Year Shorthand Hurricane placed 1st and Cedar City 2nd. TJie individual winners were: Col-een Col-een Adr.ms of Cedar City 1st, Mary Webb of Hurricane 2nd, and Afton Spainhower of Milford 3rd. In Advanced Shorthand, Production, Produc-tion, Ora Lee Gardner of Dixie placed 1st, Madelyn Mathews of Millard 2nd, and Verla Jean Bar-ben Bar-ben of Delta 3rd. In Speed and Accuracy Miss Gardner again placed plac-ed 1st, Edith Anderson of Delta 2nd, and Gwen Day of Millard 3rd. In First Year Bookkeeping the Delta team took first spot followed by Cedar City and Parowan. The individual winners were: Kimball Hansen of Delta lot, Bruce Hilton of Delta 2nd, and Lavenna Mathe-ron Mathe-ron of Cedar City 3rd. In First Year Type, Speed and Accuracy, Dxie was first, followed by Kurrl;ane and Delta, in that order. The individual winners were: Eis.e Fish of Hurricane 1st, Joy Vander Weyst of Dixie High 2nd, and LuJuanna M. Pearson of Delta 3rd. In First Year Type, for Production, Produc-tion, the Dixie High team took first, followed by Hurricane and Delta, again. Individual winners were: Joy Vander Weyst of Dixie High 1st, Elsie Fjh of Hurricane 2nd, and Geraldine Hafen of Dixie 3rd. In Second Year Type, Speed and Accuracy, Dixie High copped another an-other 1st, with Millard and Hurricane Hur-ricane finishing in that order. The individual wlnner8 were: Ora Lee Gardner of Dixie High 1st, Renee j Lund of Dixie High 2nd, and La-Rae La-Rae Hatton of Millard 3rd. In Second Year Type for Production Joyce Ei:e:n Scott of Milford finished 1st, Willis C. Morrison of Delta was 2nd, and Mary Webb of Hurricane was 3rd. In the Home Economics Department Depart-ment several demonstrations were made and were Judged by Mrs. Lydia Ftnllnson, Mrs. Afton Parry and Mrs. Holmeg upon methods of presentation, and the clarity of subject matter presented. In "spot removal" Beaver received re-ceived a 'Superior and Cedar an 'Excellent'. Dixie High received a 'Superior' for a demonstration of making a patient comfortable In bed. Hurricane earned a 'Superior' in "zipper placate construction" and an 'Excellent In "good grooming". groom-ing". Millard took a 'Excellent In flower arrangement and Parowan received the same on "buying a slip". Vocational Day moved as fmooth-ly fmooth-ly as could be expected considering the four war years lay-off.
