Show BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF UTAH A Proclamation .'V -V; WHEREAS, there ls a need to rcacquaint the public with the con- J tinued need of our military organizations organ-izations and to maintain the con- j I fidence that our professional and : c itlzen soldiers have inspired during dur-ing all this nations hiftory; and, WHEREAS, It ls fitting to pay tribute to the men of the Army ' who have served and the present forces who are still serving this nation; and, WHEREAS, Army Day is a day when a grateful Nation pays tribute tri-bute to Its victorious army, honors the devotion and heroism of its men, and recognizes anew the vital part played by the Army in winning final victory, , NOW. THEREFORE, I, HER- 1 BERT B. MAW, Governor of the State of Utah, do hereby proclaim Saturday, April 6, 1946, as ARMY DAY and I urge citizens and veterans a-like a-like to think about the worthy contribution con-tribution of the Army to our lives In this great democratic nation and I ask that the day be dedicated not only to the Regular Army, but to the Organized Reserves, the National Na-tional Guard and other organizations organiza-tions which form the basis of our national defense program.
