Show Celebrate Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo C. Leavitt of Santa Clrra, parents of three Cedar City women, Mrs. Ether Stuckl, Mrs. J. H. Palmer and Mrs. Cyde Higbee, celebrated fifty years of married life Sunday, with open house at their home. Lorenzo C. and Susls Hafen Leavltt, Leav-ltt, were both born of pioneer parents par-ents in Santa Clara and were married mar-ried In tho St. George LDS temple on March 31. 1896. Both have been active church workers. From November, No-vember, 1918, to March, 1921, Mr. Leavitt filled an LDS mission to the routhwestsrn states. He ha since served 4V4 yetrs as a stake missionary, being recently released from that assignment. He Is a member of the St. George stake high priests' quorum, and has been an outstanding farmer of Sinta Clara. Mrs. Leavitt was a counselor In the Santa Clara ward Relief Society So-ciety presidency for 14 years and served 13 year8 as secretary of the YWMIA and of the Ward Primary Board. .The Lcavltt's are parents of 10 children, eight of whom are living: Mrs. Ether Stuckl, Mrs. J. H. Palmer, Palm-er, and Mrs, Clyde Higbee, Cedar City; Mrs. James Andrus, St. George; Mrs. E. C. Gates, Santa Clara, Mrs. Robert Morris, May-wood, May-wood, California; and Crelghton E. leavitt, S?.nta Clara. They also have 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. |
