Show Plans Complete For Annual Art Exhibit Miss Mcud Hardman, Art Supervisor Super-visor of the Salt Lake City Schools, is scheduled to be the guest speaker at the rr.ening program of the Sixth Annu-1 Cerlar City Art Exhibit. The pr:jram will be hld Sunday afternoon, April 14th, officially opening the exhibit which will run until April 28th. Local patrons purchased some hirty paintings at last. year's exhibit ex-hibit tt a cost of more than $2030. This year, according to the exhibit ex-hibit chairman, L. C. Miles, it is expected that as high as fifty paintings may be purchased locally. Sculpture will be . added to the show this year, as a pleasant surprise, sur-prise, Mr. Miles states, and preliminary pre-liminary glimpses of some of the canvas, water colors and etchings already received, Indicate that the artists have sent very superior snnples of their work. In last year's exhibit one hundred hun-dred fifty paintings were hung, end this year at least one hundred sixty-five will be exhibited. More than ths have already . arrived from New York, Chlcajo, Denver. Salt Lake City, Ogden, and San Diego Mr. Miles reports. |
